GD Goenka University is proud to announce the opening of its Aerospace Engineering Department, which will offer a wide range of courses in aeronautical, astronautical, and avionics engineering. It will also offer courses in defense technologies.

The Aerospace Engineering Department has been established in response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the aerospace industry. With the rapid growth of the aviation and space sectors in India, there is a need for more graduates who are well-trained in the latest technologies and have the skills required to tackle the challenges of the industry.

CFD Research in AeronauticsThe Aerospace Engineering  Department will offer courses in aeronautical engineering, astronautical engineering, avionics engineering, and aerospace materials and manufacturing. The curriculum has been designed by experts in the field to ensure that students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for successful careers in the aerospace industry both in India and abroad.

The department will be using state-of-the-art facilities, including a wind tunnel, a flight simulator, and a materials testing laboratory along with advanced computations and simulations lab. The faculty members are experienced and highly qualified, with several of them having experience in the industry. The department will also collaborate with leading aerospace companies and research organizations to provide students with opportunities for internships and research projects and will take part in competitive cutting-edge research.

The department will be headed by Dr. Ugur Guven, a renowned expert in the field of aerospace engineering and who has over 28 years of experience. Dr. Guven has published over 20+ books, 100+ journal papers, over 250+ conference proceedings and he was the Advisory Council Member of UN Affiliated Center for Space Science and Space Education in Asia Pacific. In addition, Dr. Guven is the CEO of Prometheus Space UK Ltd. and also chief advisor to Phoenix Space UK and to Syena SPAC, USA. To help pave the way for the future of the aerospace sector, Dr. Guven is also in the advisory board of several aerospace companies and start-ups including Bellatrix Aerospace. He has guided many undergraduate, graduate and PhD students throughout his career and continues as an academic advisor to several government agencies, institutions, international alliances, foundations, and companies across the world.

The opening of the Aerospace Department is a significant milestone for GD Goenka University. It is a testament to the university’s commitment to providing its students with high-quality education that prepares them for successful careers. The department will also contribute to the growth of the aerospace industry in India by producing skilled professionals who can drive innovation and technological advancement.
