The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace Engineering degree is intended for students who desire a career in research, advanced development, or teaching. Students in the PhD in Aerospace Engineering program obtain a broad education in the core areas of Aeronautics and Astronautics through coursework, while also engaging in intensive research in a specialized area, resulting in a doctoral thesis.
The cost of the PhD in Aerospace Engineering program is 65000 Rs per semester. You have to pass 3 fundamental courses before progressing to the Synopsis stage. The coursework lectures can be completed on weekends, but also requires additional study by the PhD students. Once at the Synopsis stage you will be assigned a mentor/guide for your research and thesis. You also have an option to conduct part of your research abroad. Two publications (minimum Scopus indexed) to be eligible for thesis submission. Please contact the department about available research topics.
There is part-time PhD in Aerospace Engineering available for working industry professionals and full time for young PhD Aerospace Engineering scholars. For meritorious candidates, stipend is also available for PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
Parttime PhD in Aerospace Engineering
This program is designed for working professionals who wish to also do their PhD. The PhD courses can be taken on weekends or in a 2 week period during the semester. The work with the PhD guide can be done online or through periodic meetings. This is a great option for becoming a PhD in Aerospace Engineering so that you can have more employability options in the industry.
Fulltime PhD in Aerospace Engineering
This program is designed for young scholars who wish to also do their PhD. The student has to pass 3 fundamental OhD courses. The work with the PhD guide will consists of mutual research and conducting a PhD Project. This is a great option for becoming a PhD in Aerospace Engineering so that you can have an option to continue as a Professor in Academia. For meritorious candidates, stipend is also available for PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
